In a scene that could have played out on the former Dateline NBC’s “To Catch a Predator” segment, a Coxsackie man is arrested for trying to meet up with “a 14-year old girl,” police said.

Ethan Call, 23, is charged with Felony Attempted Rape (2nd Degree), Felony Attempted Criminal Sex Act (2nd Degree) and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (violation), police said. He is also charged off an active warrant from the Village of Ravena for a previous domestic incident – assault (3rd Degree) – involving his live-in girlfriend, according to Coeymans Police.

Call was arrested on Thursday, April 17, when he went to Ravena to meet with who he thought was a 14-year old girl he had been communicating with but it was a Police Investigator posing as the 14-year old. Police say they had arranged to meet for sex.

Call was arraigned before the Village of Ravena Justice Court and sent to the Albany County jail without bail.
