A Schenectady man is charged with shooting into a home in Scotia, police said.
The shooting happened late Sunday morning at 123 James Street when Lawrence Daly, Jr. showed up to confront a man over a woman and fired twice into the front door, according to police. No one was home at the time, 10:45 a.m.

Daly has a license to own the semi-automatic handgun. Officers responding to the reported shooting took Daly into custody in front of the house and recovered the weapon.

Daly is charged with the felonies of Criminal Possession of a Weapon (2nd Degree) and Reckless Endangerment (1st Degree). He was arraigned in Rotterdam Town Court and sent to the Schenectady County Jail in lieu of bail, police said.
