A teenager has been arrested and the handgun recovered from the Monday night home invasion of an apartment at 2627 Third Avenue, Colonie police said.
Armani Parker, 18, of Watervliet, is charged with Burglary (1st Degree, Felony) for his role in the incident, police said in a statement. Parker was arrested on Tuesday. The original report had three males, each wearing a red, white or blue hoodie, hitting a man around 11:45 p.m. Monday night, then chasing down a woman who tried to get away. She remains hospitalized. No word on what color hoodie, if any, was found.
“Following the renewed cooperation of the victim and assistance from the Watervliet Police Department,” Colonie police say Parker was arrested and they found a Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun. “It is has not been positively determined that this handgun was used in the crime pending a forensic analysis,” police said.
The other two suspects are still unidentified. Anyone with information about this crime or the identity of the suspects is urged to contact the Colonie Police Department at 783-2744.
