UPDATE - 8/20 2:00PM: Details are emerging from the investigation into Wednesday morning's double homicide in Troy.

Allen and Maria Lockrow were bludgeoned to death early this morning in their home on the 700 block of First Avenue.

There's been an outbreak of violent crime in Lansingburgh this summer. But Police Captain Dan DeWolf this incident is unrelated to anything that's happened recently.

Neighbors saw two men leaving the scene in blue 2013 Ford Escape. Neither the men nor the S.U.V. have been found.

Mr. Lockrow worked for the city as a maintenance man. His wife was a nurse.

ORIGINAL STORY: Two people have been killed during an attack at a home in Troy.
Police say a man and woman were assaulted early this morning at a house on First Avenue in Lansingburgh--and died from blunt force trauma.

Two men were seen leaving the home. Cops are looking for a late model blue Ford Escape.

The double homicide comes as community leaders and city officials have held meetings to discuss recent violence in the city, with another rally scheduled for later today.
