For the second time in 12 days, the McDonald’s near the corner of Albany-Shaker and Osborne Rd. (256 Osborne Rd, Loudonville) was robbed, Colonie Police said.
Police say on Sunday, August 17, at 4:36 p.m. Colonie Police said a man came in and forced an employee to open the safe and grabbed money, implying he had a weapon but it wasn’t seen. Police responded, set up a perimeter, and found him on nearby Collegeview Drive.
Police say they arrested him and found the cash. Ismael Maxwell, 26, of Cohoes is charged with Robbery but no weapon was found, police said. Maxwell, who is 6’4”, 245 lbs., is also under investigation for similar robberies around the Capital District, police said.
Back on August 6 around 5 a.m., the same fast food restaurant was hit when a man came in the back door and pistol-whipped the lone female employee in there. It took cops a couple days to track the suspect, described as a former employee by police.
