Add one more to the downtown Schenectady restaurant scene. On Tuesday it was announced Bountiful Bread will open their second Albany area location on lower State Street in Schenectady. The bakery will be part of the new 30 million dollar Mill Artisan District.
It will include a restaurant upstairs and a wholesale bakery on the lower level. A total of 50 full time jobs are expected to be created by the new operation.
Bountiful Bread is also expected to be part of the culinary program at SUNY Schenectady to train students in the restaurant trade.
More restaurants are expected to be announced including a barbecue joint and wood fired pizza shop.
