The Albany area was set to get it's third Sonic Drive In in the fall of 2018, but those plans may have stalled or even stopped.
Originally planned for the Town Plaza on Route 146 in Clifton Park, the owner of the property says 'Fast Eats Clifton Park' (the franchisee) was supposed to pay for a storm sewer management system. But that never happened. DCG Development, the owner of Town Plaza is now suing the franchisee.
A spokesman for DCG Development was evasive in discussing the future of the space when it comes to whether or not the Sonic will actually happen.
We may have a resolution; We may not
Earlier this year a banner touting the location of the future Sonic was hanging from the building, but that is now gone.
