Some lawmakers in New York are looking to lower the legal limit for blood alcohol content from it's current level of .08 to .05. Although we're not sure when this will be voted on in the legislature, it's likely to pass. The proposal comes as the NTSB has recommended lowering the BAC limit for all states. Utah was the first to lower their BAC to .05 at the end of 2018. A poll released by the NTSB in 2015 found that 63% of Americans support a lower BAC limit.
