Stealing campaign signs is a misdemeanor and Bethlehem democratic committee member Mario Chiarello just learned that the hard way after video caught him removing signs for republican highway superintendent John Anastasi.
Steve Peterson was riding in a campaign bus equipped with a dashcam when he caught Chiarello taking the signs. In the video, Peterson confronts Chiarello and Chiarello takes the signs out of his trunk and gives them back.
Chiarello is charged with misdemeanor petit larceny.
