About 15 cars were vandalized in Albany's Washington Park over the weekend and one resident told News 10 it's becoming all too common and he plans to move from the neighborhood. Police are telling neighbors to park in well-lit areas and keep valuables out of sight within their cars. However, part of the problem is, the lighting around Washington Park is very dim since they have not yet switched over to new LED lighting. Common Council member Richard Conti has been pushing the city since last year to install new lighting around the park.
