Is Albany Getting A New Sports Team?

Professional lacrosse may be returning to Albany. The National Lacrosse League has reached out to the Times Union Center about the possibility of playing some neutral games in the future. Albany did host an indoor lacrosse team called the Albany Attack at the Times Union Center (then called the Pepsi Arena) from 2000 to 2003 before the team moved to California. Times Union Center General Manager Bob Belber told the Times Union:

We would love to negotiate a deal at some point to get another team back in the NLL.The sport of lacrosse is much more popular now than it was back then, and I think we would do well with that.
