Travelers to New York from non-neighboring states will no longer need to quarantine for fourteen days, as long as they test negative for coronavirus twice. The first covid test must be taken at least three days prior to arriving in New York State, then a three day quarantine will be required. As long as the person tests negative after the three days, they will no longer have to quarantine.
If a traveler opts out of a test, the mandatory two week quarantine will be necessary.
States neighboring New York like Vermont, Pennsylvania and Connecticut are exempt from the new rule.
