Albany Medical Center is thrilled to announce the birth of Scarlett Johana Torres Ambrocio, the first baby born in the Capital Region in 2024, stealing the reigns from Saratoga and Glens Falls who have welcomed the first baby for the last 3 years! Weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces, measuring 22 inches long, Scarlett arrived at 4:47 a.m. on New Year's Day. Her delighted parents, Elvia Johana Ambrocio Cutz and Wilder Ariel Torres Barrera of Albany, welcomed their healthy first child together. Mother and daughter are doing well. Saratoga Hospital, part of the Albany Med Health System, delivered the Capital Region's first newborn of the new year in 2022.
