From Stuvesant Plaza Facebook Page

Stuyvesant Plaza is doing something cool to help out local businesses, as well as healthcare professionals here in the Capital Region.

In a Press Release, it was stated that Stuyvesant Plaza would be purchasing $10,000 worth of gift cards in equal allotments from the following restaurants currently open for businesses at Stuyvesant Plaza: Bare Juice Bar, Blaze Pizza, Bountiful Bread, Bruegger's, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Cold Stone Creamery, Jacob & Anthony's Italian, Primal Your Local Butcher & TGI Friday's. Each of these restaurants are currently open for take out &/or delivery.

The gift cards will then be donated to local doctors, nurses & healthcare professionals at Albany Med & St. Peter's Hospital.

In a statement made by Stuyvesant Plaza President Ed Sawyer, he said,

"As our local doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals do everything they can to help keep our community safe, we want to do our part to take care of them as well. These gift cards are a small gesture of our gratitude for their tireless work during this continued crisis. By purchasing these gift cards from our operating restaurants at Stuyvesant Plaza, we are also able to support each with much-needed revenue. As a result, this action accomplishes two goals in supporting the region’s frontline healthcare workers and our small businesses. We encourage others who are able to do so to follow our lead.”

Kudos to Stuyvesant Plaza for not only helping out their tenants, but also taking care of our local heroes.
