"Avicii: True Stories" was released last October and if you watched the documentary then you know that he was fearful of dying due to performing.
He talked about why he retired from performing in the documentary “I have been very open with everyone I work with and everyone who knows me,” “Everyone knows that I have anxiety and that I have tried. I did not expect that people would try to pressure me into doing more gigs.”
Back in 2016 Avicii walked away from performing but there were a lot of people who were pressuring him to not do it -“They have seen how ill I have felt by doing it, but I had a lot of push-back when I wanted to stop doing gigs. I have told them this. I won’t be able to play anymore,” he says, “I have said, like, ‘I’m going to die.’ I have said it so many times. And so, I don’t want to hear that I should entertain the thought of doing another gig.”
Avicii had dealt with health issues in the past as well, in 2012 he had pancreatitis and in 2014 he had both his appendix and gallbladder removed.
After his autopsy, police have ruled out "criminal suspicion" in his death.
