Putting Life Into Perspective

Without getting into details, I was informed of some terrible news yesterday. At first it didn't hit me that hard but today is a different story. Today I can't seem to shake the "funk" that I'm in and the situation really has me thinking about things that are and are not important in life.

Things that really don't make a difference, celebrity news, political differences, shaming of any kind. I understand that celebrity news/rumors are part of my job but in the long run what celebrities are doing doesn't make a difference on how you should be living your day to day life. Those people don't care what you're doing in  your life, why do you care about theirs?

Political differences - You have your opinion and other people have theirs. Just because you don't agree on certain issues doesn't mean that you have to put another person down. We are all allowed our own opinion and just because yours might be different than mine doesn't make you wrong or me right.

Shaming - I just don't get it. Let people live their life the way that THEY want to. It's none of your business what others are doing. Whether it's parent shaming, weight shaming, or any other shaming. If  you don't agree with what someone is doing, it doesn't really matter. It's not your business.

Some stuff you should be focusing on - Your day to day wellness. Your family. Your life. Take the time every day to be kind to people. Take the time to enjoy the little things. I understand that it sounds very cliche but it's the truth. Cherish the moments you get to spend with loved ones. That time is fleeting and you're never going to get it back. Believe me.

On a personal note, I'm having a pretty difficult time focusing on what needs to get done today. I'm at my desk typing this and I'm not even sure what I just wrote. Maybe it made sense and maybe it didn't. Truth is that sometimes life sucks. There are times that are going to be very difficult. I've been told that it is what it is and that we can't change things. Well, that doesn't make it any easier to deal with and process.

Just do me a favor and enjoy what you have. Make a phone call and tell someone you're sorry. Tell them you love them. Hug and kiss the people that mean the most to you. Be kind to everyone, you have no idea what they might be dealing with in their own life.

As time passes, I'll get into the details of what's going on with me but right now is not the time to do so.

Thanks for reading!
