There's a salmonella warning for everyone that's going to enjoy turkey tomorrow. I know what you're thinking. WHAT?!?!
I hadn't heard about it either until just a little while ago. I know all about the romaine lettuce e-coli outbreak but why haven't I heard about contaminated turkeys?
This is what I read on USA Today's website -
The outbreak identified earlier this month has hospitalized 63 people and sickened 164 in 35 states, killing one in California, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.".
To make this all even better, health officials can't figure out the supplier so they don't know where the source of the contamination is. Boy, it's a good thing millions of people aren't eating turkey for dinner tomorrow.
