The partial Federal Government shutdown has now been going on for over a month and many of the furloughed workers are starting to feel the effects of not receiving a check. There have been a few places that have stepped up and offered free food to those effected.
My iHeartRadio family here in Albany teamed up with Wagon Train BBQ to feed the TSA workers at Albany International. The TSA agents are working for free to help keep everything at the airports moving without any major disruption.
Now a new eatery in Albany is offering free food to anyone that with a federal I.D. while the shutdown continues. The name of the place is Avery's Country Kitchen. Located on Second Ave in South Albany, Avery's Country Kitchen is open for breakfast Tuesday-Friday. On the weekends they're open from 1pm-6pm. If you are a federal worker that is feeling the effects of the shutdown, you can show your federal I.D. and get some breakfast. You can also go in on the weekend, show your I.D. and get yourself a hot meal. The offer is extended to your family as well.
