Being that it's 2019, I can't really believe that I'm posting about this, yet at the same time I'm not totally shocked. An employee of Boeing is suing the company "over discrimination on the basis of race, retaliation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, violations of the Family Medical Leave Act and breach of contract.'
To sum up the story, the man was dealing with the use of the "N-word" on a daily basis and found a noose hanging above his desk. Yes, you read that right. In 2019 this man had to deal with that kind of nonsense in the work place.
Look, I'm not here to change people's mind about how they think, nor am I going to even being to try, but WHY is this still an issue in the work place? Why is it even a way of thinking, in general? The ignorance of some people is mind blowing! I can't imagine walking around thinking that the color of someone's skin makes their worth less than mine. It is truly sad that people still feel this way about others and that people still have to deal with sort of behavior.
