Hurricane Dorian Washes Bricks Of Cocaine Ashore In Florida

We're all well aware of the damage that Hurricane Dorian has been causing or caused. The Bahamas is in ruins after the Category 5 hurricane spent over 12 hours pounding the islands. Right now, the Carolina's are dealing with flooding and more because of the storm.

One thing that caught my attention is the fact that the storm washed bricks of cocaine ashore in Florida. Yes, you read that right. Bricks of cocaine were found on the beaches in Melbourne and Cocoa Beach. In Melbourne it was just 1 brick but in Cocoa Beach there was a duffel bag found with 15 bricks in it. Authorities estimated it to be around $20,000 to $30,000 worth of coke.

My questions is, where did this come from? Was there a ship at sea that was taken out by the storm that was transporting the drugs? Was it washed away from one of the islands and landed in Florida? Or are there just bags of cocaine floating around the Atlantic Ocean? Is this lost pirate treasure?
