The Miami Marlins were supposed to have their home opener today but the game has been cancelled because at least 14 of their players/coaches have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past few days.
So what does this mean for the rest of baseball and it's season? My fear is that it's going to get cancelled, if not today then sometime very soon. The Commissioner has the authority to pull the plug on the season IF a team or teams suffer an outbreak and compromise the competitive integrity.
Some people are saying that it could happen as early as today but who knows. I do not want to see the baseball season put on hold or even cancelled but if they league can't contain their players and the virus then it's bound to happen.
