The Shenendehowa school district says that an employee in the transportation department has tested positive for COVID-19. As is the case with all of the positive cases, the persons identity can not be revealed because of privacy issues. However, anyone that has come into contact with the employee in the past 10-12 days has been alerted. The school district has also informed the New York State Department of Health has also been informed.
The news of this comes on the heals of the announcement of a huge drop in COVID-19 cases in the Capital Region. On Wednesday the percentage of positive cases in the region was 2.2% but earlier today it was announced that the number dropped to 1.1%.
