There is a decent possibility that we will have a white Christmas this year. Winter Storm Gail is expected to make it's way up the East Coast and "possibly" drop some snow on The Capital Region later this week. Obviously the amount of snow we might get is based on the track of the storm. As we stand right now, it's looking like we might only get 5 or 6 inches. From the looks of the projected track of the storm, we're going to be on the out skirts of it but if that changes and shifts a little more North then we're going to get a significant amount more.
Nothing is ever set in stone when it comes to Winter weather in The Capital Region which is why there is still quite a bit up in the air with this storm. Everything always depends on the track of the storm and it's still kind of early in the week to make any solid predictions.
But, there is a chance we'll get snow this week.
