The Capital Region Has A World Series Champion

After last nights 7-0 win The Atlanta Braves are now World Series champions. That's right, for the first time since 1995, The Braves are the champions of MLB.

What makes this even better, is we now have a World Series champion that's from The Capital Region. Ian Anderson graduated from Shenendehowa in 2016. As if making his Major League debut against the NY Yankees wasn't awesome enough, which he did win that game, he has now also pitched in The World Series and was fantastic in his start. Oh sure, his start wasn't flawless, he walked 3, hit a batter and also threw as many balls as he threw strikes. However, he pitched 5 innings of no hit baseball. Atlanta did go on to win the game.

As of right now, Ian's post season ERA is 1.26 in his 8 starts. This kid is an absolute beast! And now, he's a World Series champion!

Granted, I'm a Yankees fan and nothing will change that but I am beyond happy for The Braves and extremely proud of Ian!

Congratulations to Ian Anderson and The Atlanta Braves!
