Sisanieโs twins are 15 months old now and the feat of potty training has come up. Sisanie revealed on-air on Wednesday, July 31, that a friend mentioned she should start thinking about potty training twins Maxon and Aiza and sheโs torn.
โSomebody recently told me like, โOh, youโre probably close to potty training then!โ And I was like, โWhat? No?!โ And theyโre like, โYeah, at 18 months, you kind of just start introducing the potty.โ And โฆ I thought that you didnโt do it until 2 1/2, maybe 3ย yearsย old?โ Sisanie shared. โItโs different for every kid โฆ so my question is when is the right age to potty train?โ
Ryan Seacrest, who doesnโt have children of his own, joked that he can only compare to his dog Georgia.
โI also heard if they start hiding to do their business,โ Sisanie continued. โThen that's a sign that theyโre ready. โฆ [But] itโs so fascinating that it would happen this early because they donโt speak yet.โ
According to experts, many children show signs of being ready for potty training between ages 18 and 24 months. However, others might not be ready until they're 3 years old. Experts add that there's no rush and even warn if you start too early, it might take longer to train your child.
โI think [18 months] is a little too young,โ mom of two Patty Rodriguez added. โBut I know parents who have started their kids as early as 12 months [too].โย
