When it comes to getting married, so many women (and men!) have a very specific idea of what they want their wedding day to look like.
For actress Audrey Moore , who you may know from Better Call Saul, nontraditional was the only way when it came to marrying her producer and writer boyfriend (now husband) of nine years, Jesse Lumen.
How nontraditional? Very.
Instead of selecting matching gowns for her bridesmaids to wear, Audrey opted to ask her bridesmaids - and all married women attending her wedding - to re-wear their own wedding dresses that they got married in, if they had been married of course.
The decision came to Audrey as a way to honor her "remarkable" friends and women in her life.
“On my wedding day, I couldn’t think of any better way to celebrate all of our uniqueness and beauty than to inspire each other with our individual gowns!”
She did admit, though, that some of her friends thought she might be playing a joke on them and reached out separately to make sure she really wanted them to wear their own wedding dresses.
The bride herself opted for a light blue gown, so the bridesmaids and those in attendance had nothing to worry about! And that light blue gown was inspired by the massive Disney movie Frozen and the lead character, Elsa - including a tulle cape reminiscent of one Elsa wears in the movie.
Oh yeah, and the grooms wore sweatshirts. That had tuxedo jackets printed onto them. Because, for Audrey, that's how she always pictured her husband:
“I met him in a white hoodie and I somehow always pictured him in a white hoodie when we got married. In fact, my favorite thing for him to wear is a hoodie."
I have to say, the photos from Audrey's wedding are stunning and it looks like everyone had so much fun!
I definitely was not the kind of bride who would have been down for other women wearing their gowns on my wedding day... but I totally get what she was doing and how it was all about the women in her life!
And it made for some AMAZING photos, right?!
Would you ever do this??
