Of course, Albany's biggest eyesore would be the Central Warehouse building that welcomes you to the cap city when you're driving south on 787.
The second worse eyesore is the long abandoned Tobin's First Prize meat factory visible from I-90 in Colonie. Now, a committee is being put together to oversee the transition of the factory space into a retail zone that could feature a supermarket, movie theater, restaurants, and retail shops. Housing and apartments may be part of the plan as well.
No time frame has been revealed, but over the years the building has changed hands many times. This appears to be the first time in which something may actually happen.
