There are a total of six Albany area Rue 21 stores, two of them will be closing due to the company filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The locations affected are Wilton Mall and Berkshire Crossing in Pittsfield. They are expected to close in June. The other locations in Crossgates, Colonie Center, Amsterdam Commons and Greenport Commons will stay open.
