The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of the Albany area. Snow will start falling around 3am Friday and continue through the morning commute. We do expect some school closings and delays Friday morning,
About 2-3 inches are expected in the immediate Albany area, the further up the more we get, with 4-6 around Saratoga.
There will also be some accumulations of ice in spots, see map below:
The NWS is also tracking a coastal storm on Christmas day, which could bring more snow to the area, but still too early to say how much.
