Olympic Lanes on Elmwood Avenue will close it's doors and be knocked down to make way for a new gated community that will have up to 80 apartments.
John Oereildis bought the bowling alley in 1971 and says business has been declining for some time, claiming 'a lot of bills and no income'. However, the lanes will remain open until the city approves the new complex.
Last September, Playdium in Albany announced it too will be demolished to make way for new businesses.
