An intersection that has been a 'high accident' spot since 1997 will get a little bit of relief. Clifton Park announced that the intersection of Route 146 and Route 146 A will be getting a two lane roundabout.
Designs for the plan will be revealed on September 20th at the Clifton Park Senior Center, construction is expected to begin in spring of 2019 with a completion date that is still to be announced.
The state DOT is taking the lead on construction, hoping to ease traffic in the area and prevent future accidents. There were 103 accidents logged at the intersection between 2013 and 2016.
