An October snow storm? It's been known to happen. The National Weather Service is keeping its eye on a potential nor'easter that could hit the Albany area this weekend.
Currently, the storm is forming off the coast of the Carolinas and will move morth, possibly hitting us by Saturday. Meteorologists say it's too early to say if the storm will actually happen but there are a couple of factors at play, including a burst of cold Canadian air that could give the storm the strength it needs to get nasty.
Christina Speciale with the National Weather Service says 'it's definitely something to keep an eye on'.
If the storm hits, it would likely be a mix of rain and snow.
