The Worst Reviewed Hotel In Albany

Well if you're looking to spend a night in Albany, many guests of the Days Inn on Central Avenue want you to know a few things. Recurring themes seem to be marijuana odor, mold, dirty pool, and not too many were raving about the breakfast buffet.

To be fair, I've never stayed there, however I always read the TripAdvisor reviews before booking a room anywhere. Out of nearly 600 reviews, over 300 rank it as 'poor' or 'terrible'.

Then you get into the guest comments. WOW.

Stay away

Horrible beyond belief. A animal should not stay there. No clean sheets, blood stained and cigarette burns found in the bed with a lighter. Room had a foul order and the curtains were filled with stains and had holes in them. I believe prostitution was conducted in this inn.

Horrific Place

Horrible place was filthy dirty . Cigarette butts marijuana joints and condem wrappers all over floors stained wall sinkBed was very dirty. Was refused a full refund even though I didn’t stay 10 minutes. Was booked for 3 nights Left immediately

Dont Do It

The pool was dirty, the area around the pool was dirty and the hot tub didn't work. I have kids that is part of the reason we picked this hotel. We were only given three towels for four people in our bathroom and a partial roll of toilet paper. Half of the hotel lost use of power and they couldn't tell us why.If it had been the whole hotel i would have understood. We had one lamp in the room that worked and the tv worked off and on. The other lamp and microwave and refrigerator didn't. It was obviously something to do with the hotel. I couldn't even charge my phone because it would said that it couldn't support the device. They served hard boiled eggs until 10:00 on no ice just room temperature. I hope the refrigerators worked. When i tried to speak to the staff they said there was nothing they could do to help with our stay and I could call Wyndham and tell them it was my worst stay ever. WELL IT WAS THE WORST STAY EVER.

Disgusting!!

I was supposedly getting a smoke-free room. The room smelled like cat urine and smoke. The walls were splattered with filth. The pillows were stained. The shower was filthy. The toilet paper holder had no rod. The continental breakfast was equally as horrible. The omelette as were half frozen. The jelly was runny liquid. The place was filthy and there was not enough seating. I have nothing good to say about the place. Horrible experience and nothing was as advertised!

Days Inn of Hell

The worst place I have ever stayed in

A giant hole where this place stands would be a better place to stay

The sink had little running water

The sink itself was worn and looked like it had been used for battle

The toilet seat was not completely fastened to the bowl

Whil using it I flushed the handle and the water backed up to my posterior

Fearing the worst I jumped off and was glad the water at least stayed in the bowl

While cheecking out I told the desk clerk what happened

All he said was "oh my' and had the stupidity to ask if I had a nice stay

This place could not have possibly passed a legitimate state inspection

For a nationwide name brand to associate with a flophouse like this boggles the imagination.

To be fair, there are some positive reviews, 48 ranked it as 'Excellent'. Currently an average night costs around $60. The Red Carpet Inn in Albany is rated slightly lower, but does not have nearly the amount of negative reviews.
