Graney's Stout is a pretty popular bar in Albany's Warehouse District - so popular that some 50 underage patrons were caught when the SLA raided the bar on Thursday night. About 200 people were there on Thursday night when the raid occurred. After the raid, the owner Mike Graney told Steve Barnes of the Times Union:
I’m obviously extremely disappointed that any underage people somehow got served at my establishment last night. We have to do a much better job of recognizing fake IDs, and I’m diligently working on installing a new drivers license bar code reader that will help avoid something like this from happening in the future.
No word on when they expect to get their license back, but word from the SLA is that the suspension is 'temporary'. Graney's posted about the incident on their Facebook page Wednesday:
