Twenty Eight Albany Area Businesses Charged With Selling Alcohol to Minors

A big time crackdown on underage drinking has been underway in New York State for the better part of 2019. Bars like O'Leary's Tavern in Troy and Graney's Stout in Albany have both lost their liquor licenses due to large numbers of minors being served alcohol.

This time an undercover operation targeting stores and shops netted 28 businesses caught selling alcohol to minors. They face fines of up to $10,000 and risk having their liquor license pulled, plus the clerks who sold the alcohol may be arrested.

The state liquor authority has posted the entire list of establishments in violation on their website, click here to see the county-by-county breakdown.
