After losing Watkins Glen over permit issues, it sounds like the organizers of Woodstock 50 have found their new site at Vernon Downs near Utica. Although not confirmed, sources are reporting that the venue and the Woodstock 50 team are close to signing an agreement to put the festival on August 16, 17, and 18. The capacity will hover around 65,000, down from the original 150,000 they had hoped to bring in at Watkins Glen. There are reports that artists scheduled to perform have been kept completely in the dark about any venue updates and with just over a month to go, tickets have still not gone on sale.
Artists scheduled to perform include Miley Cyrus, Halsey, The Killers, Chance the Rapper and Jay Z.
