A 9.2 million dollar upgrade is coming to Saratoga Performing Arts Center in time for the 2020 season. The amphitheater will remain largely unchanged, but the big improvement will come to the concessions and restroom area.
The current tent-like structure will be bulldozed and two new buildings will take its place. The main concessions building will be two stories and also contain an event space for events to be held year round. The second story will be a mini-museum celebrating SPAC's history and will feature local artwork.
The second building will have the restrooms, more concessions, and some additional space. In addition, new walkways are expected to be put in - making it easier to get from the concessions area to the amphitheater.
With the new design, the Victoria Pool will once again be visible from the Route 50 bridge.
