With this storm hitting the Capital Region pretty hard, there are a bunch of snow emergencies that have been issued.
Here they are -
Menands, N.Y.: A snow emergency in effect from 8 a.m. Wednesday to 3 p.m. on Thursday. There is no parking on any village streets during this time. Any vehicle parked on the street will be towed.
Schodack, N.Y.: No street parking from Wednesday at noon to Thursday at noon.
Whitehall, N.Y.: A snow emergency will go into effect at 7 a.m. on Wednesday through 7 a.m. on Friday. No vehicles will be permitted to park on any public street or parking area during the duration of the snow emergency.
Brunswick, N.Y.: A snow emergency begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday and continues until 4 p.m. on Thursday. Residents are asked to park in their driveways. There will be no parking in the streets. Any vehicle in violation of the parking restrictions will be ticketed and/ or towed at the owner’s expense.
Mechanicville, N.Y.: A snow emergency will begin at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. All vehicles parked on the city streets should be parked on the EVEN side of the street by this time and remain on the EVEN side of the street until 8:00 PM on February 8, 2018, at which time they should be moved to the ODD side of the street and remain there for the following 24 hours.
Saratoga Springs, N.Y.: A snow emergency will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. All vehicles on City Streets (except alternate side parking streets), must be moved to a plowed or cleared area. Accordingly, all vehicles must be moved every 12 hours thereafter until 9:00 p.m., Friday, February 9, 2018
Glens Falls, N.Y.: A snow emergency will begin at 9 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday so road crews can clear city streets. During a snow emergency, all on-street parking is banned and residents are encouraged to keep travel on City streets to a minimum.
Greenport, N.Y.: Snow emergency 2/6 at midnight to 2/8 at midnight. Anyone parked in the streets will be ticketed and towed.
Schenectady, N.Y.: Vehicles cannot be parked on priority streets after the accumulation of three inches of snow. Tickets may be issued and vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense. Parking on priority streets may resume only after the entire length of the street has been cleared of snow to the curb. See the affected streets.
Waterford, N.Y.: A snow emergency is in effect from 7 a.m. Wednesday 2/7. All town residents are asked to park in their driveways and to follow all posted alternate parking signs. Those who are non-compliant will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
Amsterdam, N.Y.: The Snow Emergency requires that all motor vehicles be removed from City of Amsterdam streets by 8:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, February 7, 2018 with a tentative end date of Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. Vehicles must remain off city streets until the snow emergency is lifted.
