Tulipfest kicks off next weekend and that means a couple of things for the Capital Region. To being with, it means lots of awesome food and vendors in Washington Park. It also means a bunch of live music in the park. It means that we all have something to do next weekend. To continue with the "it means" theme, it means next Sunday is Mother's Day (friendly reminder). Oh and parking in Albany will suck, it also means that.
It ALSO means that it's time to crown another outstanding young lady from the Capital Region Tulip Queen. There are 5 nominees - Elizabeth Stenard, 19 of Albany; Natalie Joseph, 18, of Guilderland; Xavia Francis, 18 of Albany; Katherine Donnelly, 23, of Latham; and Sawyer Cresap, 23, of Albany.
One of those 5 young ladies will be crowned Tulip Queen by Mayor Sheehan next weekend. Good luck to all of the finalists!
