Does The State Of New York Owe You Money?

As of right now, there are $15.5 Billion in unclaimed funds in New York State. Yes, you read that right, I said Billion with a "B"

Now you're thinking, "I wonder if any of that money belongs to me?" I get it because I was thinking the exact same thing. Some of this money could very well be yours, you never know. Where does it come from, you ask? The State collects most of it from old bank accounts that sit dormant for years but it could also be from uncashed checks, utility deposits, stocks or insurance money.

It could be your lucky day, although most of the claims are under $100 but you never know.

I tried it, turns out I don't have a dime in unclaimed funds but that doesn't mean that you won't have better luck than I did.
