The free Schenectady youth summer parks program is set to return this year after a hiatus in 2024. Running through July and August, the program will offer six weeks of outdoor activities across four city parks. Schenectady High School students will lead sports and educational activities, providing a valuable experience for both participants and leaders.

Applications are currently being accepted for recreation leader positions, offering high school students an opportunity to engage with the community and gain leadership skills. For more information on how to apply, interested individuals can visit the city's website.

The program aims to provide city youth with a safe and enriching environment during the summer months, promoting physical activity and learning. The return of this program is highly anticipated by the community, as it offers a constructive outlet for young people during the summer break.

For additional details about the program and other opportunities, residents are encouraged to contact Schenectady City Hall.
