Although Idol producers and creators have yet to confirm, many sources are saying that American Idol will return in March of 2018, this time to ABC.
The time slot is rumored to be Sunday nights, going up against NBC's Sunday Night Football.
As far as hosts, ABC is really pushing for Ryan Seacrest, who will be moving to NYC as the new co-host of Live! Since it debuted, American Idol has always been filmed in LA.
No word on judges yet, but Kelly Clarkson's name has been floating around, as she was the series first winner.
American Idol began in 2002 and ran until 2016 on Fox.
