A missing dog from Amsterdam was found and rescued on Friday when canal workers spotted him stuck on the ice in one of the locks.
The dog, 'Beast' had gone missing from his home on Wednesday. Canal workers called police and the fire department for help in getting him out. It was Amsterdam firefighter Jimmy Myers who climbed 25 feet down the ladder into the canal, grabbed Beast and took him back up the ladder under his right arm.
You can see a woman we believe to be his owner throw a jacket around him and greet him with a big hug and a 'thank you so much' to the police and fire crew.
