A man in his 30's almost drowned Monday afternoon when he swam out about 100 feet into Collins Lake. We don't know his identity, but News 10 reports that the man swam out into the lake and was unable to make it back. A relative jumped in the water and was able to bring him to shore. When they got back, the man had no pulse. Emergency crews arrived quickly and performed CPR for nearly 20 minutes and were able to revive him. He was taken to the hospital, no word on his condition.
Swimming has not been allowed on Collins Lake for several years.
