The 50th anniversary of the Woodstock Music Festival just hit another giant obstacle - and quite possibly the obstacle that will put the final nail in the troubled festival's coffin.
After failing to get a mass gathering permit, Woodstock organizers had to scale down the attendance rate from 150,000 to 75,000 - which caused their financial backer to pull out of the deal - a dispute that is still being argued in court. Regardless, Woodstock organizer Michael Lang said he was able to secure funding from another source.
Well today, Watkins Glen Race Course said in a statement that would not be hosting the music festival.
Watkins Glen International terminated the site license for Woodstock pursuant to provisions of the contract, as such, WGI will not be hosting the Woodstock 50 Festival.
So what's next?
