Here we go again, online shopping is taking its toll on brick and mortar stores - this time it's fashion retailer Forever 21. The company announced that it plans to file bankruptcy and close nearly 180 stores across the US in the coming weeks. Each closing, they say will be handled individually based on the stores profitability and terms of their lease agreements with landlords.
There's no word yet on which Forever 21 stores will close. In February, the Wilton Mall location closed unexpectedly. There is only one remaining store in the Albany area at Crossgates Mall, but no word on its fate.
