There were two giant parties that happened over the weekend that unofficially celebrated U-Albany's homecoming. One was in Menands where police from several different areas broke up the gathering of approximately 1000 people. Even with the large crowd, police said it was relatively peaceful and no incidents were reported. The other happened Saturday night when promoters took over an Airbnb in Chatham and about 1000 people trashed that house.
Still, that doesn't come close to the Kegs and Eggs 'celebration' back in 2011.
It was the day of the St. Patrick's Day parade in Albany and the students had largely been drinking and partying all night, continuing to the morning of the parade - where it continued out in the streets. It included fights, vandalism, and keg stands. Here are some of the highlights.
